A website is a critical part of any author’s success. But with learning code, choosing a color scheme, building the pages, etc., the task can be overwhelming, especially in light of all the other hats an author wears.
I can help.
Whether you want someone to build the website for you or teach you how to do it yourself, I’d be delighted to help design your website. And you can check out my work by looking over this website. I designed and built it myself.
I’m also in the process of building two other websites. You can check them out at the following links:
HomeAcre – https://homeacre.wordpress.com/
Word Vessels – https://wordvessels.wordpress.com/
The website-related services I provide are: re-design, basic and custom website design and building, website maintenance, and website coaching.
I’m obviously a fan of WordPress.com. Why? Because it’s sooooo user-friendly. If you’re interested in seeing what they offer, check this out. (Affiliate Link – But I only recommend products that I use myself!)
There’s a good chance you already have a website. But there’s an equally good chance that it needs updating. Are you aware of the recent mobile-friendly and security requirements? If not, that’s a good sign that your website needs work.
For this service, I charge $20/hour. The reason I charge by the hour for this type of work is because the amount of time it takes me totally depends on what has to be done.
If you’d prefer a set rate, I’d be happy to do an evaluation of your current website, offer my suggestions, and give you a set-fee price. Contact me if this is your preference.
If all you want is a four- to five-page website with such pages as: Home/Welcome, About, Books, Contact, etc., I can do that for you for $300.
If you also want custom graphics for your website, that will be an additional $100.
This does not include domain or hosting, though I’d be happy to help you through that process. Or you can use a free service, such as the one that this website uses.
A $100 down-payment is required, with another $100 due after your approval at the midpoint of the website build, and the remainder due when the website is completed.
If you’d prefer a website with more pages and a blog (recommended for helping your site traffic), the cost is $500.
For this price, you’ll receive the website design, up to ten pages/menu items, and a blog. Custom graphics will be $200 extra.
And again, this price doesn’t include domain or hosting.
I do require a $200 down-payment, with another $150 at the halfway point of the process, and the remainder due upon your final approval of the website.
Many authors would prefer that someone else deal with the headaches of maintaining a website. I’d be happy to offer you that service.
For basic maintenance, including minor updates, broken links, and general tweaking, the price is $50/month. This is due in advance.
If you want constant redesign, along with major updates, broken links, and more, the price is $100/month, due in advance.
I’m even happy to write blog posts for you (in your name). Check out my freelance writing page.
Perhaps building your own website is appealing to you, but you haven’t a clue on where to start.
Have you checked out my other services? You can save up to 10% by bundling. (More services coming soon!)
