Life Lessons From My Garden by Cathy Bryant
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” -John 15:1-2

Much of God’s Word references gardens. From the garden of Eden to the garden of Gethsemane–from the garden of the tomb to the garden described in Revelation–gardens are surely important to God.

But even more important to our Creator is the work He does in the gardens of individual lives. Surely the human heart and soul is where He does His best work, as He turns chaos and barrenness into beauty and fruitfulness.

Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus often referenced seeds, soil, sowing, and other agricultural topics, all of which carry rich meaning in the context of human lives.

There is much for us to learn from gardening as revealed in God’s Word. These life lessons can make all the difference in our productivity and fruitfulness as believers.

Our Master Gardener will take our humble and submitted lives and turn them into a bountiful harvest for His Kingdom.

Join us on this 31-day daily devotional journey as we use the basics of gardening to better understand God’s masterful work in our lives.

“Life Lessons From My Garden: Allowing God to Produce An Abundant Harvest Through You was such a blessing to me. I saw new ways to apply God’s teachings in my life, and the importance of being faithful and tending to this garden called our life, a gift that was given by God to each of us. Cathy challenges us to, “Take a close look at the garden of your life. What work do you see that needs to be done to tend that garden? What steps will you take to yield yourself to the work of the Gardener’s hands?” This study is scripture based with daily Food for Thought posts that serve to keep us in touch and thinking about our role in God’s plan for us. I would highly recommend this book.”

“In Life Lessons From My Garden, author Cathy Bryant gives the reader a daily devotional and Scripture that accompanies the joy of gardening and the wonders of God’s creations. This devotion can be used to start the day or to read any time, day or night. The descriptions of gardening and the soil remind me of how special the earth is and the blessings that God gives us every day. I enjoyed reading this and will refer back to the book again and again.”

“I am loving every day that I read these devotionals. I appreciate being given the passages from the Bible to go along with the devotional. I also am glad to have the challenges to think deeply about the subject covered in relation to God’s Word.”

“I have read every book Cathy Bryant has published and loved everyone of them. This one is no different. It give you great uplifting devotionals to apply to your everyday life. Great gift idea for friends and family. Make sure you get one for yourself also. Great book.”

I come from a long line of folks connected to gardening and farming, so it’s no surprise that I enjoy digging in the dirt as much as I do. But I can’t garden without seeing so many correlations between working in the garden and God’s work in our lives. Don’t be tempted to think this book doesn’t apply to you if you’re not a gardener. You may not be a gardener, but you are a garden. God’s garden.
