Hi! I’m Cathy Bryant, and I love spinning heart-stirring stories of God’s life-changing grace.
Most of my books are set in the fictional town of Miller’s Creek, Texas, a place very much like many of the small Texas towns in which I’ve lived. If you like Mitford and Mayberry, you’ll love Miller’s Creek. 🙂
My first novel, TEXAS ROADS, was a 2009 American Christian Fiction Writers’ Genesis finalist. Since then, I’ve added several more Miller’s Creek novels, a Christmas novella, and Bible studies and devotionals to my published books.
The most recent change in my writing life has been to move my books from the traditional book-selling model to a faith-based ministry, dependent upon donations and print book sales for my income.
Though it was a difficult decision to make–especially at my age and stage–I believe with all my heart that I made the right decision. I trust that the Lord will open and close doors as He sees fit.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me rummaging through thrift stores, wrangling chickens, or up to my elbows in yet another home improvement project. (Hubby and I have a history with fixer-uppers!)
My wonderful husband (thirty-six years and counting!) and I currently live in a cozy country cottage not far from our grandchildren. We’re loving the fresh country air, growing our own food, the peace and quiet, and of course, being near our grandkids!
If you’d like to know more of my story on how and why I became a writer, you can get the scoop here.
Now it’s your turn. I’ve told you about me, so won’t you take a minute to tell me about you? Connecting with reader friends is one of my favorite things, so I’d love to chat with you via email. (Like being in Miller’s Creek on Mama Beth’s front porch and sipping iced tea from Mason jars!)
We can also connect in one or all of the following online locations:
To stay updated on new book releases, subscribe to my blog. Most of my blog posts are book related, usually in the form of a devotional post that coincides with the theme of one of my stories. I also sometimes write posts about my crazy life or on topics that don’t fall neatly into any category.
Thanks so much for dropping by, and I look forward to getting to know you!
May the Lord bless you and yours,
