Hi! I’m Cathy Bryant. First and foremost, I am a follower of Christ. Beyond that, I’m a wife, mother, Nana, daughter, and sister. I’ve worn many career “hats” in my lifetime, but if I had to choose the ones most meaningful to me on a personal level, they would be home-keeper, teacher, and writer.
Most of my books are set in the fictional town of Miller’s Creek, Texas, a place very much like many of the small Texas towns in which I’ve lived. If you like Mitford and Mayberry, you’ll love Miller’s Creek. 🙂
My first novel, TEXAS ROADS, was a 2009 American Christian Fiction Writers’ Genesis finalist. Since then, I’ve added several more Miller’s Creek novels, two novellas, and Bible studies and devotionals to my published books.
I’ve chosen to make my eBooks free in order to hopefully get the gospel in story form into as many hands as possible worldwide. That means my writing income comes solely from reader donations.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me rummaging through thrift stores, wrangling chickens, or up to my elbows in yet another home improvement project. (Hubby and I have a history with fixer-uppers!)
My wonderful husband (thirty-eight years and counting!) and I currently live in the small Texas town I grew up in. We’re loving the central Texas climate, growing our own food, and being within a few hours’ drive to the Gulf Coast.
If you’d like to know more of my story on how and why I became a writer, you can get the scoop here.
Now it’s your turn. I’ve told you about me, so won’t you take a minute to tell me about you? Connecting with reader friends is one of my favorite things, so I’d love to chat with you via email. (Like being in Miller’s Creek on Mama Beth’s front porch and sipping iced tea from Mason jars!)
We can also connect in one or all of the following online locations:
To stay updated on new book releases, subscribe to my blog. Most of my blog posts are book related, usually in the form of a devotional post that coincides with the theme of one of my stories. I also sometimes write posts about my crazy life or on topics that don’t fall neatly into any category.
Thanks so much for dropping by, and I look forward to getting to know you!
May the Lord richly bless you and yours,
